Rhinoplasty Photos - Case #2370

Patient Case #2370

This 44-year-old woman was concerned about the shape of her nose, especially how the prominent hump made her nose appear to hook downward. Wanting nose reshaping surgery to refine her profile, she began looking for a qualified Los Angeles rhinoplasty surgeon who has performed hundreds of nose surgeries in the past. After looking into several surgeons, she decided to contact Marina Plastic Surgery Associates for a consultation.

When she met with her surgeon, she asked him what her options were. He explained that there were two main methods in performing rhinoplasty: the open technique and the closed technique. The open technique uses an incision at the base of the nose and allows for more freedom while performing the surgery, while the closed method uses an incision inside of the nose, which is more restrictive but leaves no visible scarring. For this patient, a closed method would be sufficient to sculpt her nose and diminish her nasal hump.

Six weeks after her Los Angeles plastic surgery, she returned to have her “after” photos taken. Her nose has been subtly altered to create a more feminine profile and is most visible from the side. She said that she was very happy the improvement was subtle and that she still looked like herself. She was very pleased with the results.
