Rhinoplasty Recovery Tips
While recovering from your surgery elevating your head, both while sleeping
and awake, will help to reduce swelling. Most patients would not describe
their recovery as painful; any discomfort can be addressed with prescription
medication. Be careful to avoid blowing or picking your nose for the first
month to reduce any risk of bleeding or abnormal healing.
Although you may have a preview of your results two weeks after surgery,
small changes will continue to appear over 6-12 months. Your final result will
not be visible for at least 6 months and may take as long as 2 years.
